Aoi Matsuri is a matsuri that takes place once a year in May in Kyoto, Japan. The highlight of the celebration is the Rotō no gi (street ceremony) procession that takes place May 15 inside Kyoto city.
Aoi Matsuri is one of the three biggest celebrations in Kyoto together with the Gion Matsuri and Jidai Matsuri.
