Causes of Food Poisoning

As is well known together, that germs and bacteria are the main causes of food poisoning. Most bacteria and germs enter the human digestive tract through food and drink. In the stomach, bacteria and germs multiply in the small intestine and then move to infect the large intestine, this then causes painful symptoms to appear.


The following are some of the pathways for the spread of bacteria and germs that cause the most common food poisoning:


Beware of Poisoning Bacteria

Food poisoning is caused by contaminants that enter food, bacteria and germs are organisms that often cause food poisoning.

Salmonella: These bacteria are commonly found in undercooked eggs, raw eggs, poultry and vegetables that have not been cooked and have been contaminated before. It took 6-72 hours for these bacteria to cause complaints.

E. Coli: This bacteria is usually found in raw minced meat or unpasteurized dairy products. It takes 3-8 days for these bacteria to cause complaints.

Campylobacter: These bacteria are found in meat and milk that is not cooked properly, and water that has been contaminated before. It takes 2-5 days for these bacteria to start causing symptoms.

Listeria: This bacteria is found in foods containing dairy, and ready-to-eat foods such as sausages, raw fruit, processed fruit, raw poultry, and raw seafood.

Clostridium Botulinum: This bacteria is commonly found in canned food which has a low acidity level. It takes about 12-36 hours for these bacteria to start causing a reaction.
