The only onsen Hot sand bath from the bowels of the earth (sunamushi onsen) in Kagoshima is only on the beach of the small town of Ibusuki which offers a natural sand bath experience in Japan.
This natural sand offers positive effects such as flushing out toxins, shedding weight, and produces beautiful skin. This onsen is very popular with women of all ages.
Visitors can also enjoy boiled eggs and steamed potatoes via "sume", a cooking process that uses natural steam from a hot spring.
